What a turnaround this season has been for the Los Angeles Rams. From injury-riddled and bottom-of-the-league status to division leader and “scary” team to have to play in the NFL Playoffs.
With three games to play and the playoffs on the horizon, no one (well probably no one) is thinking about the NFL Draft and how the Rams can bolster their roster for next year.
However, if there is one glaring issue with the offense (besides any dominance from the offensive line), it is that behind Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, the depth at receiver is fortuitous, if not wildly inconsistent.
Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report just released an article linking wide receivers in the draft to their best landing spots and scheme fits in the NFL.
For the Rams, he named quite the sleeper with high upside potential.
Illinois WR Pat Bryant Linked To Los Angeles Rams
Pat Bryant is kind of the prototypical WR for Sean McVay and the Rams. Rarely does this organization go after the big-name receiver, instead finding that diamond in the rough who checks all of the boxes that the offense needs, ie., route running, great hands, and blocking.
Standing at 6’3″, 200 pounds, Bryant is similar in size to that of Nacua but would play best on the outside. This past year was his best statistical season earning second-team All-Big Ten honors and career highs in receptions with 54, yards with 984, and touchdowns with 10.

He was also a team captain, to which the Rams have always awarded high marks.
Similar to Jordan Whittington of last year’s draft, Bryant was one of the best in the country averaging 18.2 yards per catch, which ranked fourth among receivers with 50 or more catches.
The Rams love getting their receivers on Day 2 or 3, and Pat Bryant is one to keep an eye on as draft season approaches.
