Now Is The Time For Rams To Make 1 Huge Move For Playoff Push, Analyst Says

There is one thing that would send the Los Angeles Rams fan base into an absolute frenzy would be the return of the franchises next Hall of Famer, Aaron Donald. And now that they are firmly in the playoff conversation, professional sports commentator, Rich Eisen’s mind has gone back to a conversation he had with Rams general manager Les Snead last summer.

“I did mention to Aaron that,” Snead started, “going back to our SuperBowl run that there was a player by the name of Eric Weddle who jumped in the playoffs and we signed him to the practice squad and we standard elevated him for four straight games to a Super Bowl championship. So I did mention if we happen to get to the playoffs again maybe we’ll circle back and see if [Donald’s] cup is not quite full.”

The last line of that quote refers to what Donald told head coach Sean McVay when Donald knew he was done playing in the NFL, ‘my cup is full.’

Eisen thinks now is the time to circle back to see if Donald would return. Eisen ensured his listeners that Donald is still in football shape and compared him to the ageless wonder, Mel Blount.

He also thinks Donald is champing at the bit to get back into action.

“If 99 says ‘you know what I do miss you guys. You know, I can help put Jordan Love down on the turf. You know, I might just hop a flight to go to Detroit where my career ended in the playoffs.'”

He finished his plea, by claiming the Rams are just an Aaron Donald away from being truly ‘dangerous.’

“Somebody better call Aaron.”

As for the nay-sayers, Eisen has one sentence, “Bill Belichick is the current head coach of the Universityof North Carolina football program. Anything is possible.”Â
