Los Angeles Rams Receive Huge Boost Ahead Of Thursday Night Clash With Minnesota Vikings

The Los Angeles Rams have been decimated by injuries this season, everyone recognizes that. Well, heading into a critical matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football, they are getting a huge boost on the offensive side of the ball.

It was announced earlier in the week that star wide receiver, Cooper Kupp, would be a go for this evening’s game, but now they get back the Robin to Kupp’s Batman in Puka Nacua.

Puka Nacua has been activated off injured reserve and the Rams plan to play him this evening, per Adam Schefter (and many other reporters).

This is huge news considering his practice window was just barely opened. How much he will play, and how much of an impact he will have is the larger question.

Even if he is unable to put up Nacua-like numbers, just having him on the field will be a huge boost. McVay will be able to use him as a decoy which will free space for a fully healthy Kupp, while also allowing Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, and Tyler Johnson to get more comfortable in the roles that were designed for them before these rash of injuries.

This will be the first time Nacua and Kupp will be on the field together since their Week 1 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Even dating back to last season, we have not really witnessed both of these stars fully healthy on the field together. It is hard to imagine that Nacua is 100 percent at the moment, but at this point in the season, in somewhat of a must-win game, a partially healthy Nacua is much better than not having him in the lineup at all.

Kickoff between the Rams and Vikings is set for tonight at 5:15 PM PT at SoFi Stadium on Amazon Prime.
