The Los Angeles Rams announced the hiring of Jerry Schuplinski. He will join the staff with the title of Senior Offensive Assistant. The Rams have already hired Nate Scheelhaase and Rob Calabrese as offensive assistants. They also formally announced that the former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator, Sean Desai has been hired. While he is a defensive coach, he will be working with the offense to advise on opponents’ defensive game plans.

Most recently, Schuplinski worked for the Las Vegas Raiders as tight ends coach in 2023. That spring, they added tight end Michael Mayer in the second round of the draft. In 2022, he was a senior offensive assistant in Vegas.
Schuplinski was brought on as quarterbacks coach for the New York Giants in Daniel Jones‘ sophomore season. He started his NFL career in New England. He worked closely with rookie Jacoby Brissett and backup Jimmy Garoppolo as assistant quarterbacks coach. According to his Wikipedia, Schuplinski had an inside track with the Patriots, because he and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and director of player personnel Nick Caserio played together at John Carroll University.
