Los Angeles Lakers Give Anthony Davis Injury Update

Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis suffered an abductor strain in Tuesday night’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Depending on what the strain level is, a player could miss anywhere from a week, (grade one strain) to four to six weeks (grade two strain).

Fortunately for the Lakers and Davis, he is expected to miss a minimal amount of time. After an MRI on Wednesday morning, it has been determined Davis suffered a grade one abdominal strain. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, he will be re-evaluated in a week.

Here are the Lakers upcoming opponents over the next week: road games against the Washington Wizards (January 30), the New York Knicks (February 1), the Los Angeles Clippers (February 4), and finally a home game against the Golden State Warriors (February 6).

With the NBA Trade Deadline looming, the Lakers will need Davis back healthy as soon as possible to maintain their position within the Western Conference.
