After a really solid 2024 NFL Draft Class highlighted by Joe Alt and Ladd McConkey, the Los Angeles Chargers add 21 undrafted free agents. Yes, you read that right, 21.
Typically, UDFAs are long shots to make the final roster, but this does signify that Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz are seeing the current roster as a blank canvas. Outside of maybe Justin Herbert, Joey Bosa, Khalil Mack, and Derwin James, it feels like every position is open for competition.

Harbaugh made sure to add one more former Michigan player in OL Karsen Barnhart.
Leon Johnson out of Oklahoma State is another intriguing addition. The 6’5, 210-pound prospect ran a 4.5 40 and averaged 16.3 yards per reception last season.
It will be an uphill battle, but more likely than not, at least one of these 21 Chargers undrafted free agents will make the roster.
