Jim Harbaugh Sets High Benchmark And Makes Bizarre Residential Plans As Los Angeles Chargers Head Coach

Having recently left his job in charge of the Michigan Wolverines, Jim Harbaugh is already dreaming big in relation to his new post as head coach at the NFL side, the Los Angeles Chargers

Interest in acquiring Harbaugh was immense, which is unsurprising given his success in college football, and fans of the Los Angeles Chargers who want to back them to make a marked improvement on last season’s 5-12 losing record can place a wager, and selecting the right provider to do so depends a great deal on which brand you choose to sign up with.

Harbaugh arrived with something of a fanfare, and the Los Angeles Chargers are hoping that better times are ahead with the experienced head coach on board. It’s now thirty years since they reached a Super Bowl, and their recent up-and-down form has led to a number of coaches coming and going in recent seasons.

Following a consistent spell under Norv Turner, which saw the Chargers top the AFC West for four successive seasons, Mike McCoy proved a poor replacement, and his successor, Anthony Lynn, failed to steady the ship. Brandon Staley came in in 2021 and showed some signs of improvement before a poor campaign last season saw him axed with the team at 5-9, only for interim replacement Giff Smith to see out the season with three straight losses.

At his unveiling, Harbaugh was full of good humor and good intentions, commenting on his arrival in Los Angeles,

“We’re in one of the great cities there is. One thing I know is Los Angeles, Southern California, they respect talent, effort, and winning,”

“It needs to be multiple. Multiple championships. We’re going to be humble and hungry, but that’s our goal. That’s our goal, is to treat people in a first-class manner to win multiple championships.”

Jim Harbaugh’s Bizarre Residential Plans As Los Angeles Chargers Head Coach

Moving into a more jovial direction, Harbaugh opened up on his ambitions to drive cross-country to his new California home, stating,

“I told my wife this — should I tell them?”

“Okay, so, I want to drive my RV out and go to a trailer park, like down by the water or by Disneyland. There are two that I’ve researched that are close to the facility. I want to ‘Jim Rockford’ it for the next couple of months until we move into the new facility. I have that thought going through my head.”

Harbaugh bid farewell to Michigan after leading the team to their first national championship since 1997, the team completing a 15-0 season, bringing an end to a hugely successful, if at times controversial, nine-year spell at the college outfit.

He’ll now look to make a big splash in his return to the NFL, his previous spell in the big leagues being a consistent four-season run at the San Francisco 49ers, during which he led the team to three postseason finishes, including a Super Bowl loss to the Baltimore Ravens at the close of the 2012 season.
