Maybe this is surprising to some, and maybe it is not to others, but the Chargers and Bears franchises have only played each other 13 times, according to the Football Database.
The last Chargers vs Bears meeting was in 2019 in Chicago, and the last time the Chargers hosted the Bears at home they were still residing in San Diego, circa 2015.
The Chargers won the 2019 matchup 17-16, but lost the 2015 matchup 22-19 on a Zach Miller touchdown catch from Jay Cutler late in the 4th quarter…feel familiar Bolt Fam?

Overall, Chicago leads the series 7-6.
This Year’s Chargers Vs Bears Matchup
This year’s matchup will be a Primetime Sunday Night Football matchup at SoFi Stadium. Both teams come into this game with 2 wins, and the state of the franchises feels eerily similar. Both head coaches are sitting on a scorching hot seat, with big changes looming.
The big difference is that the Chargers have their franchise quarterback locked down in Justin Herbert, while the Bears are still somewhat in limbo with what to do with Justin Fields. Fields will miss this game due to injury, so it will be undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent (who did win his first start last week and looked extremely poised).
Will the Bolts get their third win of the season and tie the series up 7-7? What do you think? Vote below!
