USC came out on fire and looked great, but a blocked FG swung the momentum, and now we are tied up. Offense needs a response here.

Definitely one of the worst halves for USC this season. Started off great, with an opening-drive touchdown and the defense forcing a 3 and out. But it was sloppy from there.

Still plenty of special teams issues (missing out on 6 points), and the defense could not get off the field on 3rd down.

Will need to see so much more fight and execution in the 2nd half, especially with UCLA starting with the ball.

On the bright side, a TON of young players saw the field.

• Freshman running back Riley Wormley had some snaps and even caught his first pass on a nice inside wheel route that went for 17 yards.
• Freshman, converted, running back James Johnson got on the field and also had a reception for 10 yards
• On defense, we saw Alex Graham get his first start at Nickel, and a big third down that featured Graham, Dee Reddick, and Matai Tagoa’i all on the field at the same time.

Need to see a lot more in the 2nd half, but the future is bright with the young players.
