Daily Fantasy Football QB Pick: Geno Smith vs. Arizona Cardinals – $5,700

This will likely be one of the last opportunities you have to take advantage of people underestimating Geno Smith. Resurgence doesn’t even begin to describe Smith’s 2022 season especially when it comes to fantasy football. He has scored 17 or more points in every game but one this season and will hopefully continue his streak against a streaky (at best) Cardinals defense.

Arizona’s defense has allowed 19.5 points per game against opposing quarterbacks and the Seattle defense is currently ranked as the 12th-best fantasy football defense (cue the puns) but coming off an absolutely miserable performance against the New Orleans Saints. So two questionable defenses with high-powered offenses on the other side of the ball? This game has all the makings of a shootout. This will likely result in Smith scoring a boatload of points at an absolute discount price.

Other QB Options: Kirk Cousins vs. Miami Dolphins ($6,000), Tom Brady vs. Pittsburgh Steelers ($6,300)

Daily Fantasy Football RB Pick: Breece Hall vs. Green Bay Packers – $5,800

I had to double, check that, triple-check to make sure I wasn’t imagining this price tag to have Breece Hall help your team. Calling this a steal is doing this undervalue a massive injustice. While this all may seem hyperbolic, getting the 10th-ranked running back on your roster for less than $6,000 against a middle-tier run defense is a perfect recipe for success.

The only possible explanation to justify this price is the fact that Michael Carter is still, and likely will be for the rest of the season, nipping at Hall’s heels but coming off a performance in which he had 197 scrimmage yards and a touchdown, it’s his job to lose. Hall is a must-start in non-DFS leagues and as long as he remains under $6,500, a must-get in DFS leagues.

The Packers defense meanwhile allows the highest rushing success rate in the NFL this season. Coming off a week where they allowed Saquon Barkley to score a touchdown and rush for 70 yards, there’s little reason to believe that Hall cannot produce a similar stat line.

Other RB Options: Kenneth Walker III vs. Arizona Cardinals ($5,400), Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Cleveland Browns ($6,000)

Daily Fantasy Football WR Pick: Jakobi Meyers vs. Cleveland Browns – $5,300

On the surface, this may seem like an absolutely insane take but Jakobi Meyers is quickly becoming one of the top-tier risers in fantasy football at the receiver position. Much of this is thanks to the emergence of Bailey Zappe and Meyers becoming his favorite target.

Granted Meyers has been battling a questionable injury tag all week but if he can recover in time to start the game, back-to-back 18+ point performances is enough evidence to believe that he can successfully continue his surprise streak against a lowly Browns defense. This Cleveland defense is currently ranked as the 18th-best against receivers in DFS. Monitor his status closely but if he is good to go on Sunday, Meyers will likely continue his hot streak.

Other WR Options: Gabriel Davis vs. Kansas City Chiefs ($6,500), Adam Thielen vs. Miami Dolphins ($5,900)

Daily Fantasy Football TE Pick: Zach Ertz vs. Seattle Seahawks – $4,700

Somehow Zach Ertz is still flying under the radar despite having a phenomenal season from a tight-end fantasy perspective. He has yet to post less than 10 points this season and is playing a Seattle defense that ranks dead last against tight ends this year. Granted, Taysom Hill’s performance last week is factoring into that but even so, their defense against the position is suspect at best.

With two defenses performing below expectations, this game should be high scoring which means plenty of opportunities for offensive players for both teams to enjoy massive fantasy success. Ertz is the third-highest-scoring tight end available this week and is more than $3,000 cheaper than the next two highest players. This is an absolute no-brainer.

Other TE Options: Gerald Everett vs. Denver Broncos ($3,700), Evan Engram vs. Indianapolis Colts ($3,500)

Daily Fantasy Football FLEX Pick: Amari Cooper vs. New England Patriots – $5,900

The Browns and Amari Cooper have been among the most puzzling pieces in the fantasy football puzzle as it begins to form with the season nearing its halfway mark. The receiver has been the very definition of a boom-or-bust prospect as he has yet to post a performance of fewer than 10 points at home but adversely has yet to go over five points on the road.

Luckily for anyone potentially interested in Cooper, they are playing one of the weakest secondaries in the league at home against a team playing an impressive yet still unproven rookie quarterback in Zappe. The Browns defense has shown time and time again that they can struggle against even the most mediocre quarterback (sorry, Joe Flacco). So much like the Cardinals and Seahawks game, this could very easily turn into a high-scoring affair.

While Cooper is absolutely a risky play at the FLEX option, his price being below $6,000 makes him absolutely worth the risk. Jacoby Brissett is going to be passing it a lot in this game and even if the Browns somehow do end up blowing the Patriots out, there’s a very small chance that Cooper is not involved in that happening.

Other FLEX options: Tony Pollard vs. Philadelphia Eagles ($5,700), DeVonta Smith vs. Dallas Cowboys ($6,200)

Daily Fantasy Football D/ST Pick: Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts – $3,000

Death, taxes, and the Colts sucking against the Jacksonville Jaguars. These are the guarantees in life. The Jags surprisingly have the sixth-best defense in the league and no matter who is under center for the Colts, they just seem to have Indy’s number.

This is an especially enticing matchup for anyone looking for an under-the-radar defense because the Colts are tied for the offense that has allowed the most sacks at 21 and has allowed the second most points per game against opposing defenses with 12 points per game. While they may not win the game, the Jaguars defense will certainly rack up some fantasy points for your DFS roster this week.

Other D/ST options: Buccaneers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers ($3,900), Chargers vs. Denver Broncos ($3,100)
