Dolph Ziggler has put his John Hancock to a new WWE contract that has made him the third highest paid earner in the WWE. Only Brock Lesnar and John Cena earn more than Ziggler.

The 37-year-old, known to fans as The Show Off, will now make a whopping $1.5 million each year for the next two years.

The WWE has made it clear with this new contract that they truly value Ziggler. Ziggler is after all one of the best when it comes to putting other WWE superstars over and reportedly that is what they are paying him the big bucks to do. Ziggler will also be able to “exit the building” as soon as his match or promo is over. It is common knowledge the WWE superstars all stay until the lights are turned out. Ziggler’s new contract also gives him the ability to take breaks to pursue his comedic and acting careers.

During a recent podcast with Edge and Christian, Ziggler shared, “I hate that I’m not the champion. I hate that the show is not about me because that’s the mentality you should have if you’re in the business. If you’re the ‘Hey I want to be the opening guy who works for 10 years and saves a bunch of money,’ (guy) that’s great. But there are a thousand other guys in the back that say, ‘I want to be the best. I want to main event WrestleMania, I want the show to be about me.”

Ziggler has been back on television over the past couple of weeks. He resurfaced at the Royal Rumble as the 30th competitor in the Rumble match but was quickly eliminated. He then returned to SmackDown where he earned the right to be part of the pay-per-view Fastlane’s main event.

It looks like what the future holds for Dolph Ziggler is completely in his own hands.
