His eventual landing spot was debated and rumored but today it was decided. Jeremy Maclin chose to sign with Baltimore instead of the rumored Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles. With the signing becoming official let’s see how he fits in and what we can expect to see from him in the 2017-18 campaign.

How Does the Depth Chart Stack Up?

With there not being a wealth of talent in this position group, earning the top spot won’t be too much trouble for the touted veteran. The Ravens will rely on Maclin to carry the majority of the passing game, and a breakout season from Breshad Perriman could help limit potential double teams on Maclin. Here’s how I think the position’s depth chart shakes out.

What Will His Statistics Be?

As mentioned in my article,  “Where Will Jeremy Maclin Sign?” the Baltimore passing game isn’t where it should be. His impact will be felt from day one and the passing game should (as a unit) follow suit. As I mentioned in the aforementioned article, losing Pitta hurts, it hurts bad. But he will definitely help band-aid that wound. All that being said, here are the numbers I expect Jeremy Maclin to put up.

12 Touchdowns/1,100 yards/115 receptions

Adding Maclin to the fold certainly makes sense for both parties, but what is yet to be seen is whether or not that translates to on-field success. Joining forces with Joe Flacco was a smart career move for Jeremy though, being that Flacco is one of the best deep-ball passers in the league, we can expect some BIG plays and SportsCenter type highlights from these two.
